I'm a muti-ethnic American, living in Northern California. I am a semi-retired Builder, worked mostly as a carpenter. I also worked as an ESL Teacher in Mainland China, Taiwan, Japan & Korea for 12 years. I speak those 3 languages to varying degrees. I love languages, & studying them; I even want to learn some Zulu ! I also play guitar, (& a bit of harmonica, & shakuhachi). I love travelling through mountainous scenery, gardening & cooking. Life is not worth living without good Music. It heals me, rejuvenates me, & makes me whole !!!

Born and raised in the United States to parents who immigrated from Osaka, Japan and Hong Kong. I lived in Norther California all my life and attended college and graduate school here in the states. Professionally trained as a primary school educator, I have taught in the public elementary schools for many years working with English language learners. My favorite subject to teach is the sciences. Fluently, I am bilingual in Cantonese along with some basic Japanese. Hobby wise, I spend my time tinkering with computers and enjoying nature walks.

My name is Jonathan Neris (聂君浩). I was born in the United States, but grew up in China, Hong Kong, Puerto Rico, and the United States. Therefore, my native languages are English, Spanish, and Mandarin Chinese, but I am also proficient in French, Cantonese, Latin, and Classical Chinese.
