Hi, I'm Carey.
I'm Australian, so can help with your English speaking, in that uniquely Australian way..! However, I do really enjoy helping people practice and improve their English speaking, reading, writing, comprehension etc.
I am learning Mandarin, so I can better communicate with my Chinese wife, her family, and friends. My wife speaks English very well, but is not my Mandarin teacher; my Mandarin is entry level, too boring for her, hopefully not too boring for you..
Instead of continuing to focus on vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar etc, I wish to have casual, albeit basic conversations with Mandarin speakers, so I can develop my 'conversation brain', which is a much different, more challenging and real-world skill than formal study alone. Of course, in English, I am happy to discuss whatever your interests or expertise may be, at whatever level you are comfortable speaking.
I am a farmer who helps regenerate (repair / heal) the land and care for the animals, and grow food that is both healthy and tasty. I am pretty good at ping pang too :)

I am an Australian who is very interested in Chinese and have progressed to an intermediate level by living and working in China for a few years and interacting with the language on a daily basis by reading magazines and watching movies.
Keen to find a partner to practise with as there are so many words I do not know and come across new vocabulary every day. I am very happy to teach you English in return.
My hobbies include riding bikes, hiking and playing poker.
