I am a married, mum to two grown up children. I own a home in Spain and have been learning Spanish for a number of years. I lack confidence to speak that is my biggest weakness.
I am a teacher to young people with special needs. My hobbies are spending time with my family, cooking and socialising. I love to travel, music and read. All curtailed by current climate.

Hi, my name is Liz (Elisa), I am a born and bred Italian who has grown up in Bedford, UK so I speak English as well as my native tongue of Italian. I have always liked the Spanish language and culture as it is very similar to my own Italian language and culture and would like to engage with speaking and learning Spanish with a native Spanish speaker who is looking to learn English in exchange. ! I've just found a study buddy, so I'm not currently looking for another one. However, I'll keep this visible in case I can help direct someone.
I am a Japanese based in Oxford, UK. I sometimes find it hard to keep up with English conversations, especially with native speakers. I would like to get more used to the speed and idioms of real spoken English. If you have a regional accent, that is a bonus for me (I especially struggle with Scottish and other regional accents).
Aside from language learning, I am interested in:
British history, culture, architecture, and classic novels
Nature in general
Making tea
Drawing
Learning more about plants, animals, and the city I live in
If you are interested in these areas, I could be a good partner.
I can understand and write some classical Japanese and tend to use a relatively rich vocabulary (prob top 5% among native Japanese), but I am happy to slow down and use simpler Japanese if needed.
