Hello wonderful people of the world! My name is Silas, I'm 25, born and raised in the U.S. I'm half black and half Native American (Choctaw specifically, my great grandmother was born and raised on a Native Reservation and my grandfather was born less than 20 miles off of it.) I'm a fluent speaker of both English and my mother language of Chahta Anno̱pa, (Choctaw language) and having grown up in a city with a lot of Spanish speakers I was formerly fluent in Spanish too. (A goal I'm working towards is getting back fluent in that language again!) I'm an avid reader, writer and nature lover with a great joy for learning (and practicing) new languages. I'm very warm-hearted, kind, patient and compassionate with other people and I have a big heart for learning things about other people's culture and customs. I come from a very academically rigorous background, as I used to be a tutor in High School and College. I'm actually in the process of getting my TEFL certification so that by the end of 2026 I'll be fully certified at teaching English! (Another one of my goals is finishing up my Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering). I'm a very kind, patient, open and accepting person, and if you reach out to me for help in learning English I'll do my best to help you! I have over 5 years of tutoring experience in English, so I can safely say I can help give you a structured way of learning the language and quickly improving your confidence in speaking and listening, and setting you on a fast track to near-native levels of fluency. Проживаю в США, родной язык русский. Изучаю английский но имею большой дефицит в разговорной практике. С удовольствием бы пообщался с носителем на английском и в свою очередь помог бы ему с языковой практикой русского языка. I live in the USA, and my native language is Russian. I am studying English but I have a significant lack of conversational practice. I would gladly chat with a native English speaker and, in turn, help them with their Russian language practice.

Sarò a Roma per 4 settimane a partire da fine aprile. Il mio obiettivo è migliorare il mio italiano. Frequento lezioni la mattina e cerco "partner di conversazione" a Roma per integrare le mie lezioni. Idealmente, cerco partner che abbiano voglia di parlare più volte a settimana, preferibilmente di persona. Nel pomeriggio o nelle prime ore della sera, come più vi è comodo. Sono a livello intermedio. Se possibile, potremmo iniziare a parlare a distanza prima del mio arrivo, in modo da costruire un rapporto. Alloggerò a Tuscolana, in zona Giulio Agricola. Ma avrò una bicicletta, quindi potrò spostarmi. :) Ho avuto diversi partner di italiano a distanza, quindi ho già esperienza in questo campo. Fammi sapere. A proposito, sono felicemente sposato. I'm a native of Osaka, Japan, currently living in the US. My French is at an intermediate level. I can understand most of a French news broadcast, but I'd really like to work on my speaking skills. My Korean is at a basic level; I can't really hold a conversation yet, but I'm actively studying. I'm fluent in English, having worked in the US for most of my adult life.
