Hi! I'm Linus, 19, from Germany.

I'm learning Chinese because I genuinely love the language, and I would really value being able to speak it and eventually think in it. I find the idea of having another language and another way of expressing and understanding things genuinely fascinating. I'm also very interested in China, its history, culture, politics, and everyday life, and I'd like to get to know the country through people rather than only through books and the internet.

I'm looking for someone I can talk to regularly and naturally, whether that's through messages, voice calls, or just casual conversations. I'd appreciate someone who is willing to correct my mistakes and teach me expressions that people actually use, while I can help with German or English in return.

I'm also interested in politics, international relations, history, philosophy, languages, technology and AI. I enjoy gaming as well, and I'm generally someone who can talk about a subject for hours once I get interested in it. I also play quite a lot of different games, so there's always something to talk about.

My Chinese is still at a beginner level, so I'm mainly looking for someone patient who might want to do a little session once a week, check in on each other's progress, and gradually build a friendship. I'd really like to get to know someone from outside my own country, culture, and continent, and experience a different perspective on everyday life.
